At St. Coleman, we worship God in spirit and truth through "prayer without ceasing," and particularly through the celebration of the Eucharist and the other sacraments. We welcome new members to our faith community with open hearts and, through our baptism, strive to be missionary disciples for Christ.
The Eucharist is a real encounter with the living Christ. It is a source of grace, strength, and spiritual nourishment, and it is the most important and sacred part of our faith. As Catholics, we are called to participate in the Eucharist regularly, and to receive it with reverence and devotion.
Saint Coleman has embraced the power of social media to connect with you and the community at large. With a presence on popular platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and our own podcast, the church is able to share updates on upcoming events, post inspirational messages, and share more about our faith.
ABCD Drive!
The Church is called to be an “advocate of justice and of the poor” in the face of intolerable social and economic inequalities, which “cry to heaven”. Your gift to the ABCD helps the Church here in South Florida to walk with the poor as their friend. Your support of the ABCD changes lives and through its many works of tenderness, compassion and mercy you make Christ’s kingdom real for so many.
Saint Coleman Catholic Church has launched a Parish Podcast. In each episode, we bring you engaging Catholic content including interviews with parishioners, Catholic teaching, Archdiocese of Miami News and much more!
Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper
April 6 at 7pm
Holy Thursday falls on the Thursday before Easter. It commemorates the Last Supper, when Jesus shared a meal with his disciples and instituted the Sacrament of the Eucharist. On this day, Catholics attend Mass, where the Eucharist is traditionally consecrated and the washing of the feet is performed. This ritual is meant to mimic the humble act of service that Jesus performed for his disciples at the Last Supper. Holy Thursday is a day of solemnity and preparation for the Easter Triduum, the three-day period leading up to Easter Sunday.
Good Friday
March 16th at 6:30pm
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is observed during Holy Week on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday. On this day, Catholics attend church services and participate in acts of penance and contemplation. Catholics also observe a fast on Good Friday as a way of spiritually preparing for the Easter celebration. The date of Good Friday varies from year to year, as it is determined by the lunar calendar.
Easter Vigil
March 16th at 6:30pm
The Easter Vigil is the final service of the Easter Triduum. The Vigil begins in the darkness of the night, with the lighting of the Easter fire and the paschal candle. This candle, which symbolizes the light of Christ, is then used to light the individual candles of the congregation, symbolizing the spreading of Christ's light throughout the world. The liturgy includes readings from the Old Testament, the singing of Psalms, and the renewal of baptismal vows. The celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist, the central act of Catholic worship, takes place during the Easter Vigil.
Easter Sunday
March 16th at 6:30pm
Confirmation is the sacrament by which a baptized person is sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and is strengthened in their faith. Through confirmation, a person is empowered to witness to the Gospel and to live their faith more fully. Auxilary Bishop Delgado is coming to Confirm our 8th grade students!
