The Blessing of the Animals is rooted in the teachings of Saint Francis of Assisi, who had a deep love for animals. Francis believed that all creatures are God's children, and he called on people to treat them with compassion and respect. The animals that are blessed can vary, but they often include dogs and cats. The Blessing of the Animals is a reminder that we are all part of God's creation, and that we have a responsibility to care for all creatures. It is also a way of celebrating the joy and companionship that animals bring into our lives. Bring your pets to Saint Coleman Parish Hall for a blessing from our priests at 2pm.

On All Saints Day, the Catholic Church celebrates the communion of saints, which is the belief that all of the faithful, living and dead, are united in Christ. We believe that the saints in heaven are still praying for us and that we can ask for their intercession. All Saints Day is a day of joy and hope. It is a day to celebrate the victory of Christ over sin and death. It is also a day to remember that we are all called to be saints. This Holy Day of Obligation honors the Saints. Masses at 7am, 8am and 7pm.
Join us for a special All Soul's Day Mass on November 2nd at 7pm. We will be praying for the faithful departed. Please drop off photos of your loved ones at the Rectory Monday - Friday between 9am-4pm throughout September and October so we can display them during the All Soul's Mass.
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a feast day in the Catholic Church that celebrates the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary without original sin. It is celebrated on December 8th. The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854. It states that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was conceived free from original sin by a singular grace and privilege of God. This means that she was born without the stain of sin that all other human beings inherit from Adam and Eve. The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a day to celebrate Mary's holiness and her role in God's plan of salvation. It is also a day to reflect on our own sinfulness and to ask for Mary's intercession. This Holy Day of Obligation honors the Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God. Masses at 7am, 8am and 7pm.
